A Fascinating Look Inside the Minds of 200+ Artists @MOCACleveland

Sun 1/26 @ 1pm

Artist and author Sarah Trigg stops by MOCA this weekend for a special discussion about her book, Studio Life.  Since 2009, Trigg has interviewed more than 200 artists across the US. Her book chronicles her 100 most interesting studio visits.

Trigg dives deep into the psyche of the artists by studying their behavior, as well as the objects around them.  She asks them to describe these things in 6 categories: mascots, collected objects, rituals, makeshift tools, residue and habitats.  The results are an absolutely fascinating look into the inner workings of some of the most prolific and influential artists of today.

Michell Grabner, whose I Work From Home is currently on view at MOCA, is one of the many artists featured in the book. Don’t miss this special opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the creative spirit.
