Although it’s become increasingly popular to stay home and chill on New Year’s Eve, music fans who don’t like to miss a chance for a night out — and don’t want to stand on Public Square freezing their toes — have a host of choices covering almost every genre you can think of, from folk to metal to orchestra pops.
While some of these events offer dinner and other extras, a majority are low-cost events that won’t set you back more than $15. The concept of the New Year’s Eve gouge seems have fallen out of favor.
