How “Useless” Mathematics Revolutionized Our Lives @MarketGardenCLE

Mon 12/9 @ 7pm

This Monday, you’re invited to a very special discussion featuring Colin McLarty, PhD, Professor of Philosophy and Mathematics at Case Western Reserve University.  “How ‘Useless’ Mathematics Revolutionized Our Lives” will explore how the things we can’t live without (such as GPS, computers and encryption systems) evolved from research and discoveries initially thought to be completely impractical and useless.

Science Café Cleveland hosts monthly, lively and informative discussions on the second Monday of each month.  This is an informal and inviting atmosphere – open to the public.
