When it comes to iconic figures in the Akron community, it is impossible not to list artist Don Drumm. His unique sculptures and metal castings can be seen throughout Akron in public parks, hospitals, offices, museums and of course, his studio.
Like his artwork, Don Drumm’s gallery is hardly conventional. Instead of a cold, sterile environment, Don and his wife Lisa have created an artistic oasis full of color and warmth. Their gallery, opened in 1971, is located on the corner of Crouse street and you will definitely know when you’re getting close.
The Drumms’ hard work and passion have not gone unnoticed in the community and even nationally. Their gallery has been recognized across the U.S. as well as in Canada as one of the foremost American crafts galleries.
