@ClevelandArt’s Curator of African Art discusses Fragments of the Invisible

Wed 12/18 @ 7pm

The Cleveland Museum of Art invites you to join Constantine Petridis, Curator of African Art, for a discussion revolving around the museum’s current exhibition, Fragments of the Invisible: The Rene and Odette Delenne Collection of Congo Sculpture.

The exhibition is the US debut for the collection – which includes more than 30 works of different origins and attributions purchased by the CMA in 2010.  The exhibition and lecture will examine the collection with regards to African art collecting in the West (specifically Belgium) – including issues of provenance, cultural heritage and patrimony.

Petridis will offer insight to help contextualize the work and the overall exhibition.  Please meet in the exhibition.
