In 1949, a man by the name of Nick Ciriello and his wife, Rose, bought a steak house on N. Main Street in Akron, Ohio. Initially, this small one-room restaurant was known for it’s great steaks and late night dining. As time went on however, the unlimited pizza items and genuine Italian dishes became the customer favorite; turning the restaurant into the place that we know and love it as today, Luigi’s Restaurant.
The Ciriello’s grandson, Tony, now runs Luigi’s daily operations; keeping the legacy alive and well. Tony’s grandparents obviously had the right idea, considering that Luigi’s has been awarded numerous times over the past 60 years for their mouth-watering pizza and Italian cuisine.
