The Forest Of Illusion Will Alter Your Perceptions

Sat 10/19 @ 7:30pm

Forest of Illusion is a unique, interactive art event where guests view work from various vantage points and under different influences which are intended to change our perceptions. Guests will also have the opportunity to see the inner-workings of the creative process like never before with notes from journals, candid audio conversations, and unfinished work. The event will also include interactive projects where you can contribute to the work.  The night will also feature an artist talk with an opportunity for questions.

In association with the international event 100,000 Poets for Change, six artists from Northeast Ohio converged on a campsite at Punderson State Park in Newbury, Ohio for 48 hours of living, breathing, and making art for a project known as the Artist Collective.

The theme at the center of the 100TPC movement is change. This gallery event showcases the definition of change which is represented as ‘how we view things’ and the ‘physical, mental, and emotional circumstances that alter our perception’ through the use of three guiding words:  parallax, illusion and perspective.

Contributing Artists-in-Residency are Chandra Alderman, Dina Derby, Scott Alan Evans, Kathleen D. Gallagher, Mark Hakli and Brandon Stroud.
