Fri 11/1 – Sun 11/3
GhoulardiFest is back again this year for a weekend of pop culture celebrating Cleveland legends Ghoulardi, Big Chuck and Lil John, Dick Goddard, Superman and more! The 3-day event includes vendors selling memorabilia and nostalgia items, live bands, skits, viewing rooms, presentations/interviews and more!
This is a special year because it marks the 50th anniversary of Ernie Anderson and Chuck Schodowski’s late night TV debut. To honor the 50th anniversary, promoter Ron Garsteck has gone to great lengths to build an exact replica of Ghoulardi’s WJW set. Also, comedy legend Tim Conway will stop by for a discussion.
Additionally, to salute this milestone event, the event will feature a separate screening room with rare video celebrating Anderson’s and Big Chuck and Lil’ John’s television careers. The “Shock Theater” will feature non-stop films along with live entertainment on the main stage. The Shock Theater line-up has been assembled by Keven “Son of Ghoul” Scarpino and media historian Mike Olszewski and they promise three days of programming that will have you coming back for more. Along with rare clips of Cleveland television, Shock Theater will also offer a sneak preview of CW shows thanks to WBNX-TV NOW, the second annual Saturday Morning Cartoon Carnival and a special presentation honoring Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster on the 75th anniversary of Cleveland’s other favorite son, Superman!
Single-day tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door, 3-day tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Children up to 12 years old are free.
