If you’re a regular attendee at the House of Blues’ monthly Kirk Franklin gospel brunches, you’ll be familiar with Cleveland gospel musician Lafayette Carthon, who performed there last month with his group Faith. The pianist/vocalist, who has worked with artists like Mary J. Blige and the Winans, returns his month for an encore performance.
He’s the director of the Canton-based Carthon Conservatory, which schools young gospel musicians, using music to help kids grow and become productive adults. He’s got plans to grow his academy into other market.
You can enjoy the music of Carthon and Faith, while you partake of the HoB bountiful brunch. All-you-can-eat cost is $38 for adults, $29 for seniors, and $18 for children 6-12.
