Cursed with immortality and crackling, burning skin, The Girl Made of Embers was born into a cold, desolate town. Whisked away to the forest by her father when she was still young, the girl grew up in a lonely existence, constantly reminded of her curse. Alone in the world, she sings a haunting melody every night that carries for miles across the frozen landscape. However, when a man made of snow hears her song, he longs to escape his prison of ice. With fate linking the two tormented souls, only time will tell what becomes of them.
Intended for elementary-aged children, The Girl Made of Embers by Kristina and Michael Smith is a unique story for anyone who enjoys fantasy and fairy tales. Inspired by the darker fairy tales from the past, the book incorporates evocative illustrations with a poignant, creative story. A gripping story about love, obsession, and magic, this mesmerizing novel is a one-of-a-kind children’s book that will keep a permanent place in young hearts.
