Loren Naji Studio Gallery presents its latest group exhibition – The Director Never Yelled Cut – this Friday evening in Ohio City. Established local artists Nancy Cintron, Tim Herron, Douglas Manry and Jamilla Naji were selected by gallery owner Loren Naji because of the narrative qualities of their work depicting the human condition. The scenes’ ambiguity create the potential for unlimited possible interpretations
A raffle will also be held for an original painting by Jamilla Naji that was used as an illustration for Musical Storyland – with proceeds donated to Girls With Sole. Musical Storyland is a children’s book, illustrated by Naji, written using lyrics from Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie songs, and includes a CD by Bowie. The book will also be available for sale.
