Cuyahoga County has been keeping a secret. At the southern end of Slavic Village, where Broadway, Warner and Turney Roads tumble into one another, Mill Creek gushes off a ledge and spills 45 feet down a shale embankment to a green valley below. The waterfall is called Cataract Falls and since it is on the Mill Creek it is also referred to as Mill Creek Falls and is part of the Cleveland Metroparks’ Garfield Park Reservation.
View the falls from the two-level observation deck that juts out right over the cascading water. Further down the ravine is another excellent vantage point on a short looped trail that features an ironwork railing depicting the history of the area.
