Mentor Marsh State Nature Reserve, located just south of Lake Erie in Lake County, is an untouched marshland of waving tall grasses and slow-moving waters.
While walking the four miles of trails and boardwalks through a beech-sugar forest and mixed oak swamp forest, visitors can observe many species of birds and wildlife, who take advantage of hiding places and the watery marsh underworld. The visitor center is managed by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
