Walk an entire mile of beach at Ohio’s widest beach at Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor. Pack a cooler of cold drinks and sandwiches and get to the park early to claim a picnic table or just spread out your towel. Build a sand castle by the shore, look for beach glass or float on your back and enjoy the water, Lay on a blanket and soak up the rays while reading a summer romance or spicy mystery.
