Kamm’s Corners

A Suburban Neighborhood in the City

Nestled between downtown and Cleveland’s international airport sits a working-class neighborhood that is changing the face of Cleveland’s West Side.

Kamm’s Corners is the heart of Cleveland’s West Park neighborhood. This urban center has more of a suburban flavor and is home to quirky shops like a comic book store, costume shop and a roller-skate supplier. But what is most interesting is a revitalization of the entertainment district taking shape there.

The most recognizable piece of architecture at Kamm’s Corners still stands at the South West corner of the intersection of Rocky River Drive and Lorain Avenue. It was a general store and post office built by Oswald Kamm and it still retains its historic exterior and houses a commercial business.

Today Kamm’s Corners is experiencing a renaissance — come check it out.
