Attention local high school students with an interest in art and design. This Sunday the Cleveland Institute of Art hosts National Portfolio Day. This once-a-year opportunity allows young artists to receive important feedback on their portfolios before applying for admission (and scholarships) to art and design schools in the area and around the country.
The event is FREE and open to both high school and transfer students. Students are encouraged to talk to as many representatives as possible in order to get a variety of opinions. Portfolios should include as much of your best, original artwork (in physical form) as possible, but you may bring a laptop, tablet or other electronic device (just be aware you won’t have access to an outlet).
Over 30 of the top art and design schools in the country will have representatives on hand to review portfolios, discuss their program and answer questions.
