Sat 9/21 @ 6pm
Insurance is the first exhibition at the renamed Gallery One Sixty (Formerly Miller-Schneider Gallery) in Collinwood’s Historic Waterloo Arts District. It’s a solo exhibition by Cleveland native Melanie Newman. Newman attended Cleveland Institute of Art and has been actively showing in galleries since 2007. She works within a variety of mediums. Insurance is an installation that started as a self-portrait, but has evolved to include the sights and sounds of inner-city living. The work is a mix of rough framework, found objects and re-used components of past installations.
The opening reception and exhibition are FREE and open to the public. Additional Hours: Next Friday 6-9 for Walk All Over Waterloo, Saturdays & Sundays 1-5pm, Mondays Noon-5pm and by appointment.
