Akron-based PizzaFire calls itself “the Chipotle of pizza.” It’s northeast Ohio’s first fast-casual, fast-fired pizza restaurant. You build your own pizza and/or salad out of fresh ingredients tossed on hand-stretched dough aged for 24 hours. Create whatever your heart desires or imagination can come up with from 40 toppings and seven sauces, and then they fire it in their 700-degree wood-fired oven. In August 2015, PizzaFire opened a second location in downtown Cleveland next door to the House of Blues.
