The nonprofit Valley Art Center in downtown Chagrin Falls is a driving force behind the town’s arts scene. Founded in 1971, it offers hundreds of classes a year for children and adults, shows the work of both local and national artists in its gallery, sells local handmade items in its gift shop, and does outreach programs with local schools, businesses, senior centers and more. It also created two of the town’s major arts events: the long-running Art by the Falls the second weekend in June, and the Chagrin Valley ArtsHop in the spring.
