Chocolate lovers will not want to miss the Chocolate Café and Museum when they’re on Put-in-Bay. It’s actually a large room, filled with old candy packaging, boxes, ads and collectibles from your childhood, your parents’ childhood, your grandparents’ childhood and, most likely, your great grandparents’ childhood. It features information about the history and making of chocolate as well. This nostalgic trip includes a monitor running a nonstop loop of the famous I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ethel get jobs in a chocolate factory.
The museum is adjacent to the café which offers a large selection of chocolates and ice cream for you to enjoy in the present. Coffee is available too. It’s open daily from May through September.
