Get those blankets out of the closet and get that picnic basket packed. The Cleveland Orchestra is back in residence at Blossom Music Center.
The Blossom Music Festival’s opening night, conducted by the Orchestra’s music director Franz Welser-Möst, will offer some popular early 20th century music: Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 8 and Strauss’s Four Last Songs. The latter will feature soprano Luba Orgonášová, making her Cleveland Orchestra debut.
Pavilion tickets are $25-$85. Lawn seats are $20 or free for under 18.
