Cain Park is owned by the city of Cleveland Heights, but it’s not your typical city park. While the sprawling park includes some of the usual “park” things including bike and jogging paths, tennis and basketball courts, a wading pad, playground and sledding hill, it’s also home to two theaters — the intimate indoor Alma Theater where plays and local music acts perform from June-August and the covered outdoor Evans Amphitheater which hosts name acts such as Melissa Etheridge, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, and Lyle Lovett, along with dance ensembles, kids’ concerts and more.
Cain Park also has an art gallery which shows local artists during the summer and hosts one of the area’s largest arts festivals along its tree-lned paths the second weekend in July. During events, food and drink from area businesses is available for purchase.
