One of Kent’s legacy bars, the Venice Café has been around in some form, serving students and townies since 1941 in an old-school atmosphere. Along with a full bar menu, it serves seafood, chicken and other standard dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, courtesy of the Erie St. Kitchen located on the premises. There’s music most weekends, and Tuesday is jazz night — and it’s always free. If you need a late-night place to hang out, stop in until 2:30am Tuesday through Saturday
