Poké Fresh

Before 2017, it’s safe to say few people in northeast Ohio knew what a poké bowl was. Then came Corner 11 in Tremont and Akron’s Poké Fresh, which now has two locations, applying the burgeoning “build your own” trend to Hawaiian-style poké bowls.

Organic brown or jasmine rice or a bed of organic greens is topped with meats, vegetables, and finished off with fresh or crunchy toppings such as picked ginger, sweet onion, cucumber, cilantro and toasted sesame seeds, and a variety of sauces — all chosen by you. Vegan and gluten-free diets are easily accommodated. If that’s too much choosing for you, they also offer their signature bowls. Wash it down with nine types of bubble tea.

The first Poké Fresh location opened in late 2017 bringing this taste of Hawaii to West Akron; its Cuyahoga Falls location in Portage Crossing Marketplace opened in June 2019.
