It’s fitting the Tim McGraw kicks off Blossom Music Center’s 2013 season, since the bucolic outdoor amphitheater in Cuyahoga Falls has become something of a country music mecca in recent years.
Of course, while McGraw is one of country’s biggest superstars who’s never been heard much in any other radio format, some of his roots are in the very type of mainstream area rock that used to fill the facility in the ’80s. And that’s the kind of show he puts on — all dramatic gestures, a big, rockin’ gestures and anthemic sing-along tunes.
The bill also features two openers who’ve just made their mark in the last three or four years: songwriter Brantley Gilbert and duo.
Tickets are $26-$67.50.
