R&B Singer Patti Austin Performs With Cleveland Orchestra

Sat 5/18 @ 8PM

Patti Austin’s R&B vocal credentials are impeccable.

She’s been performing since before she was even in elementary school in the mid ’50s. Before she was out of her teens in the late ’60s, she was an active session singer. In the ’80s she had a string of hits like “Baby, Come To Me” and ‘How Do You Keep the Music Playing,” both duets with James Ingram.

Now 62, Austin has established herself as a versatile singer of pop, soul and jazz tunes, and lately, working with major orchestras.

She’ll join the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall for a program of timeless music associated with jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington.

Tickets are $35-$110.
