Cellar Door Productions, which sponsored a two-night, fifteen-band showcase in March that packed the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, is marching onward to another project
It’s debuting a new video series called Anatomy Of A Song. It’s a take on the old “songwriters in the round” format, in which a group of songwriters sits onstage together with acoustic instruments playing their songs, backing each other, and telling stories about the songs’ backgrounds.
The initial filming will feature Michael LoPresti of the Lighthouse and the Whaler, Jenna Fournier of Nights, Rob Duskey of Rob Duskey and the Rounders, Max Stern of Signals Midwest, and Erin Kapferer aka Noon.
The five will be onstage together for two and a half hours, which will be split into five episodes to be aired on cellardoorcle.com.
It will take place at the Cellar Door Space on East 40th. It’s very casual; you’ve invited to bring a pillow and sit on the floor. Tickets are $10.
