Not only is Gibson’s the cutest storefront on the block, but it’s also the oldest active business in Oberlin, established in 1885, and in the same location since 1905. In that entire time, it has remained family-owned through six generations.
Walking into Gibson’s feels like taking a trip back to the 1950s. The storefront is reminiscent of a soda fountain, and inside is what seems to be part candy shop, part old time general store. There are a variety of handmade chocolates, baked goods and donuts. (Try the whole wheat donuts!)
