If there’s one thing that can enrich a performance, it’s the venue it’s held in. Finney Chapel is the largest performance space in Oberlin, able to seat over 1200 people. It houses a large Fisk organ, which has more than four thousand pipes, installed in September of 2001.
Finney Chapel is the primary venue in Oberlin for major orchestra concerts (including by the Cleveland Orchestra), folk, rock and jazz concerts, convocation lectures and other special events. It is also home base for the Oberlin Artist Recital Series.
