The Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque is one the nation’s premier repertory film presenters. Founded in 1986, it features a year-round schedule of foreign, art, independent and classic films, often showing films that have not been previously seen in the area, often in new, high-quality prints. In August 2015 it moved into its new facility in CIA’s McCullough Center on Euclid Avenue. If you’re into something more offbeat than whatever’s at the multiplex, you’ll want to stay abreast of the Cinematheque’s schedule, which is released bimonthly.
