On the longest night of the year, the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless hosts the annual Homeless Memorial Candlelight Vigil — an event where the community pays homage to those people who passed away this year and had previous experience with homelessness.
The vigil strives to spread awareness of homeless issues and to make sure not a single person who has struggled with housing is forgotten. Light a candle, take a moment of silence as the names are read, and learn ways the community can combat homelessness. This year’s vigil will be at the St. Malachi Meal Site.
