Hey Zombies: Are you bored now that the numerous charity walks you trudged through this summer have ended?
Don’t know what to do with yourself in the weeks before the Mayan End Times apocalypse?
Do you find yourself thinking about that rotting ghoul you met while zombie bowling but haven’t found the right event to take the next step?
After All Saints Day, All Souls Day, and the Day of the Dead, do you find yourself wondering, ‘When will the undead have our day?’
Well wonder no longer.
Oldschool Sinema is presenting its second annual Zombie Prom Sat 11/17, at 9 p.m. at the Beachland Ballroom & Tavern.
Brain connoisseurs will dress in their funeral best as DJ D-Rock spins records, and the undead will and stumble and lumber as the Lords of the Highway play live.
“We like the fact we’re having one last zombie themed event after Halloween, because our crowd gets kind of bummed out after the holiday is over,” the evening’s host Joe Ostrica explained. “This gives them one last fun thing to look forward to, especially after the Hurricane Sandy effect we had during this Halloween season. The Zombie Prom is a great party. Lords of the Highway will provide an energetic set and D.J. D-Rock will spin some tunes to keep the zombies shuffling all night.”
Joe has done a commendable job getting those back from the dead back to the dance as many walking corpses will be returning for the second year.
“We had a great turnout last year and are excited about doing this annually,” Joe said. “And what better place to have a zombie prom than an old school ballroom like The Beachland Ballroom? It’s a perfect place for our zombies to party at.”
VisualGrammar216 will have bloody hair flowers and boutonnieres available as well as a vendor table for those looking to spend their cash since they can’t take it with them.
Couple tickets are only available in advanced at $15 a pair. Otherwise, it is $10 per zombie.
