Herb ’N Twine Sandwich Shop opened on Ohio’s rapidly developing Lorain Road stretch in 2015. Owned by Brendon Messina, who was a sous chef at the now-closed Rockefeller’s in Cleveland Heights, it features a small menu of handcrafted sandwiches, salads and soup of the day, made with healthy, seasonal and (as much as possible) locally sourced ingredients, to “grab and go” or to munch on at one of the handful of available tables. Fans of Cleveland music history will note that the address is that of the legendary ’90s underground DIY music venue, Speak in Tongues.
