All-Star Accordions Exhibit + Polka Jam Session

Wed 3/21 @ 7PM

Polka jam session. Need we say more?

The National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame and Museum is bringing together the accordions of legendary polka bandleaders in their new exhibit “All-Star Accordions,” in celebration of the Museum’s 25th anniversary.

Expect to see “the actual piano accordions played by Cleveland-style polka greats, such as Johnny Pecon, Johnny Vadnal, Eddie Habat, Canada’s Polka King Walter Ostanek, and Frank Yankovic, America’s Polka King, among others. Matt Hoyer’s Mervar button box, featured on the first Cleveland-style recordings in the 1920s, is presented with the Petromilli chromatic accordion of his son, bandleader Teddy Hoyer.” Plus so much more.

And… the opening reception on Wed 3/21 features a polka jam session. Exhibit on view through end of 2012.
