The Children’s Museum of Cleveland, long located in a former Howard Johnson’s in University Circle, vacated that space at the beginning of 2016 and began to make plans to renovate and move into its new location in a historic home on Euclid Avenue in Midtown. They’ll have more space, party/event rooms and a larger gift shop. They will open there in late 2017.
There it will continue to present exhibits, events and programs for kids ages 1-7 that aim to both educate and amuse, with lots of hands-on elements that make learning fun. Meanwhile, it’s still sponsoring activities at various festivals, libraries and cultural institutions around town.
