The Greater Cleveland Aquarium is opening its doors! After a mere year of construction, the GCA is taking its name as the only freestanding aquarium in Ohio seriously. The Grand Opening Gala takes place on Thursday, with the doors open to the public on Saturday. The Grand Opening Gala will feature tours of the 1 million gallon space, a dinner, auction and refreshments.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Aquarium Education Fund — providing transportation scholarships to schools that cannot afford busses to attend programs at the aquarium.
