Ponderings at the Brewery: From Burning Rivers to Living Rivers

Mon 12/12 @ 6:30PM

Finding the median between a healthy river and an energy providing river is no easy task. Come hear Jeff Opperman, Senior Advisor for Sustainable Hydropower at the The Nature Conservancy, speak on the work behind finding these sustainable solutions.  This talk takes place where wqater quality matters most — a brewery.

As Clevelanders, we are all aware that rivers are capable of producing economic gain, but we must consider the ecosystem fragility at the same time. We depend on healthy rivers for food, livelihood, and the quality beer it can produce (ie from Market Garden Brewery).  Stop down at the said brewery and get educated on what is happening today in your own sink.

The event, “Fire, Fish and Flow: From Burning Rivers to Living Rivers,” is presented by Science Cafe Cleveland and sponsored by CWRU chapter of Sigma Xi, WCPN ideastream, and the Market Garden Brewery.
