Black Nativity @ Karamu

Onstage through Fri 12/30

Langston Hughes is not only a literary genius, he’s also a Karamu alum. You have until Fri 12/30 to see Black Nativity, a contemporary retelling of the birth of Christ based on the Gospel of St. Luke. The original Nativity story is told through gospel, music, dance and song. Good for the whole family. Directed by Richard H. Morris Jr.

Based on the map included with this item, a reader would think “Black Nativity” is being held at Karamu House on E. 89th in Fairfax. In fact, I believe all the performances are at Playhouse Square’s Allen Theatre at 14th and Euclid. Cool Cleveland might want to clarify/correct.

You’re looking at a post from two years ago. We haven’t posted about this year’s event yet.
