Come out for the kick-off of Cleveland’s chamber ensemble, Les Délices’ 2011-2012 season! “Age of Indulgence” will take you to a 1750s Paris salon, embracing the era of its roots while championing Enlightenment values. Witness a fusion of baroque gestures and classical forms – performed by a host of nationally acclaimed artists. This is an intimate performance, encompassing you in the concert experience. Salon-style gallery shows is the signature home for this ensemble, something that has pleased the crowds of previous seasons.
Ohio premieres will include two quartets from François-André Philidor’s 1755 L’art de la modulation, selections from Antoine Dauvergne’s Concerts de simphonies (1751), and Jean-Joseph Cassanea de Mondonville’s Op. 3 no. 1 sonata (1749). Rameau’s beloved Pièces de Clavecin en concert no. 3 completes the program.
