Human Rights Activist Miriam Miranda will be appearing at the Commemoration of the Martyrs of Central America and Colombia dinner Sun 11/6. As the general coordinator of the Fraternal Black Organization of Honduras, she works to protect the Garifuna minority in Honduras and their political, social, economic, and cultural rights. Miranda has overcome significant obstacles within her endeavors, and continues to fight for her beliefs and the protection of minority communities.
Join the InterReligious Task Force on Central America as they mark the 31st anniversary of the martyrdom of Jean Donovan, Sr. Dorothy Kazel, OSU, Sr. Maura Clark, MM, and Sr. Ita Ford, MM in El Salvador. Outside of human rights speaker Miriam Miranda, this gathering will include an interfaith prayer service, a Central American dinner, as well as a social hour and silent auction.
