Mmmm, goulash. If you didn’t know, Hungarian gulyás (popularly known as goulash) is a “traditional hearty stew, sometimes soup, typically made of beef, onions, vegetables, spices and ground paprika.”
Want some? Tempt your tastebuds at the 3rd Annual Great International Gulyás-Goulash Cookoff on Sun 6/19 wherein 22 chefs compete to make the best goulash in NEO. Taste all sorts of gulyás and wash it down with locally-brewed beer while listening to live Hungarian music. Other traditional treats, such as pogácsa (a bacon-rich Hungarian biscuit), lángos (a Hungarian fry-bread), and strudel will be available.
Proceeds benefit the Cleveland Hungarian Cultural garden.
