PREVIEW: Foodies Unite!

Culinary delicacies await @ the 2010 Fabulous Food Show

Where else can foodies unite in happy anticipation of tasting a delicious array of marinara sauces over pasta, jams and preserves, chocolates, cheeses, meat selections, and fruit? At the Fabulous Food Show, of course, celebrating its fifth anniversary this year! Over 225 food and kitchen equipment companies will be exhibiting at the IX Center this weekend.

Headliner celebrity chefs from the Food Network include Giada De Laurentiis, Guy Fieri, Alton Brown, Anne Burrell and Cleveland’s own, Michael Symon. Northeast Ohio celebrity chefs include Dante Boccuzzi of Dante, Jonathan Sawyer of The Greenhouse Tavern, and Steve Schimoler of Crop Bistro. These chefs will be teaming up with Cleveland Cavaliers players as their assistants in a fundraising culinary competition in the Main Kitchen Theatre to benefit the Cleveland Area Restaurant Association and Autism Speaks.

Growing bigger and better each year, this premier culinary event will showcase an expanded Farmers’ Market and Sweet Street including a new Cake Walk created by seven local pastry chefs and bakers. Your eyes and stomach will delight in seeing and smelling over 100 food demonstrations on different stages and at different kitchen locations.

The American Wine School will assemble more than 300 wines, spirits and specialty beers for sampling in the Grand Tasting Pavilion and conduct informative daily seminars in the Wine Theatre. The Cleveland By Hand fine arts festival, in conjunction with the Fab Food Show, will be displaying handcrafted glass, pottery, and wood along with paintings and woven fabrics. There is no charge to attend this juried art show.

The skilled Northeast Ohio chefs, with their distinctive styles and unique restaurant menus, have placed Cleveland on the map as a not-to-be-missed culinary destination.

The Fabulous Food Show runs Fri 11/12 – Sun 11/14 @ the IX Center. For more information, please visit http://www.FabulousFoodShow.com.
