Movies at Home Looks at Bob Fosse’s Autobiographical “All That Jazz”

Wed 4/10 @ 7PM

The 1979 film All That Jazz is considered the quintessential work by legendary Broadway and film dancer, choreographer and director Bob Fosse – and no wonder. It’s basically the story of his own life, with all its successes and excesses: his workaholic personality and the brilliant work he created, along with a lifestyle of womanizing, drugs, drinking, and chain smoking that killed him at the age of 60, a death he predicts in the film released eight years before he died.
This challenging, exciting film is the next selection in The Musical Theater Project’s Movies at Home series. As usual, here’s the drill. TMTP artistic director Bill Rudman posts a video introduction telling you what to look for as you watch the film – and in this case, it’s a lot! Then watch the movie online here.

Finally, join Bill and other film buffs on Zoom to share opinions and dissect what you saw. It’s free and no registration is required. Go here.
