Former WZAK-FM 93.1 air personality Kym Sellers was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1992 and since then she’s been a passionate advocate for those facing this unpredictable disease, via the Kym Sellers Foundation, founded in 2000. Its mission is to support families and to educate people in northeast Ohio about multiple sclerosis through its various programs.
The foundation is hosting its fifth annual Jazz & Jokes benefit at the Music Box Supper Club to raise money for those programs.
“The night will be full of laughs and live entertainment,” says Sellers. “The foundation is committed to fighting multiple sclerosis through education and awareness. Having an annual benefit helps us to continue our efforts until a cure is found.”
Performing at the benefit are internationally noted Swiss jazz pianist Alex Bugnon, long-running Cleveland smooth jazz ensemble Forecast, and Chicago actor/comedian Damon Williams, who’s hear on the weekly Sam Sylk show in WZAK.
Doors open at 5pm. Go here for tickets.
