All summer long the SNPJ Slovenian Farm in Kirtland rings with the happy sound of polka music, as special events pack its schedule.
This week it’s the Polka Family Feud as members of the Likovic and Zolka families have a “squeezebox smackdown,” as they’re calling it. Ron Likovic and sons RJ and TJ and friends, will perform some lively upbeat polka music, while accordionist Bob Zolka will respond with a mix of polkas and waltzes with his son (also RJ) drumming for the Zolka Band.
The musicians will have six hours to prove their superiority and what do you want to bet they call it a draw? The polka musicians in northeast Ohio are just too good. It’ll for sure be a great afternoon for dancing, with dinners available from 1-4pm, and sandwiches, snacks and drinks all day. For more information, call 216-481-1379.
