Cleveland-born artist Joyce Morrow Jones works is a sculptor who works in fiber and mixed media to tell stories about women’s history and culture with African disasporic themes. She’s currently artist in residence at moCa.
This weekend, she’ll be sharing some of her skills and ideas in two days of workshops caxlled Dollmaking with PRIDE!, taking place at Artists Archives of the Western Reserve, whose show CONVERGE featuring regional LGBTQ+ artists is just wrapping up.
Participants will learn how to make a traditional bottle doll to tell their own Pride story. Joyce will provide the materials instruction and “joyful encouragement.” All you have to bring is your own story and $20 to cover the cost of materials paid on the day of attendance.
