The ArtCraft Building at Superior and East 25th was one of the first of the area’s many industrial/business buildings to convert space to artist studios. Today it’s home not only to dozens of artists but to small businesses such as Fount Leather Goods and Guitar Riot and organizations such as the Cleveland Print Room.
As usual, it’s hosting its holiday open studio and sale Sat 12/1 @ 10am-7pm and Sun 12/2 @ 11am-5pm, with artists scattered throughout the building. But most of the action will be on the 6th floor with artists and businesses from the building and outside set up in a variety of spaces. On the fifth floor, Fount will be open Saturday only. The Cleveland Print Room will be open with its annual Off the Wall members’ show and sale.
Just around the corner on E. 25th, Lake Affect Studios will also be open on Sat 12/1 @ 10AM-5PM, with the Cleveland Bazaar set up to offer holiday shopping from its many specialty vendors of handmade items. The bar will be open and serving cocktails and coffee, and food will be available as well.
Finally, don’t forget to walk up the street on Saturday to check out the Tower Press artists open studio and holiday sale, going on from 11AM-7PM. Artefino Café in the Tower Press Building will also be open for food and drinks.
