Ensemble Theatre Presents a One-Weekend-Only Run of “I’m Not Rappaport”

Thu 12/20 @ 7:30PM

Fri 12/21 & Sat 12/22 @ 8PM

Sun 12/23 @ 2PM

The 1984 play I’m Not Rappaport by Herb Gardner ran on Broadway for more than two years in 1985-1988. It centers on two elderly men — one African-American and one Jewish — meeting on a park bench in Central Park in New York and explore issues related to growing old and living in the city. Walter Matthau and Ossie Davis played the main characters in the 1996 film.

Ensemble Theatre’s Mainstage will host a short run —four performances only — of the play, with Bobby Williams and Noah Budin in the lead roles. It’s directed by local theater mainstay Jacqi Loewy.

Tickets are $20.
