Akron’s Electric Pressure Cooker Open Mic Invites ANY Type of Performer to Participate

Sat 1/5 @ 9PM

Looking for some participatory fun for a Saturday night?

Journalist/radio host/YouTuber Vanessa Michelle (pictured) will be hosting the monthly Electric Pressure Cooker “Anything Goes,” put on by Akron-based performance group the Wandering Aesthetics at The Center near downtown Akron.

That mic will be open for anything you can dream up: poetry, music (acoustic or full-band), comedy, improv, scenes from plays, storytelling, dance, puppeteers, performance art and more — solo or as a group, novices or professionals. If you can conceive it, you can do it at Electric Pressure Cooker.

Arrive at 8pm when the doors open to sign up for a slot, or pre-register at epcooker.com. Those under 18 are welcome to attend and perform if they bring a grown-up along.

It’s a $5 suggested donation at the door. Proceeds go to help continue Wandering Aesthetics and #EPCooker projects. Water, beer and wine will be available, and you may bring your own food and beverages as well.
