The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Performing Arts Series takes another detour to Ohio City, where Canadian experimental musician Sarag Davachi will perform at its outpost, the Transformer Station.
A composer and performer of electroacoustic music, Davachi works with the acoustics of intimate spaces, drawing on the traditions of minimalism to explore subtle and slow-evolving changes within washes of sound.
Her bio says that with “baroque leanings toward slow-moving chordal suspensions, and experimental production practices of the studio environment, her sound manifests an experience that lessens apprehension of consonance and dissonance in likeness of the familiar and the distant.”
She’ll do an hour-and-a-half solo performance at the Transformer Station.
Tickets are $25, $22 for CMA members.
